When it
became apparent that Wallenstam´s previous solution, which consisted of many different
systems and a lot of manual work to connect them together, was no longer enough
they started looking for a new project and portfolio management (PPM) tool. A thorough
internal needs analysis was undertaken as part of a market evaluation process.
As a result
of this internal needs analysis, and to generate value in day-to-day activities,
Wallenstam’s priorities in a PPM Tool included a high degree of
user-friendliness and comprehensive toolset for project developers, project
managers, property managers and line managers. In addition, Wallenstam wanted
to be able to display, analyze, follow up and manage their entire project
portfolio in a much more efficient way.
After the
market evaluation process was complete, the clear choice was Antura Projects.
Focus on
new property development and rebuilding projects
Initially, Wallenstam will use Antura Projects for their property development
and rebuilding projects, but will also soon use it for land development, planned
maintenance, business, and IT projects. Training will be conducted with a
strong connection to everyday business in order to facilitate a smooth
on-boarding and adoption process.
Handling
of 2D and 3D models
Wallenstam will start using a completely new add-on function called the Antura
Projects IFC Viewer that makes it possible to visualize and navigate 2D and 3D
models directly in the browser. Being able to easily view and demonstrate 3D
models of their new property development projects gives Wallenstam and their
stakeholders a new opportunity for close and effective communication.
- We are
very happy that Wallenstam has given us the confidence to deliver Antura
Projects as their new PPM tool. We are convinced that they have made an
excellent choice and that they will be able to work more efficiently with their
various projects, said
David Spjuth, Project Manager and Business Consultant at Antura.
As of the time of writing there are already
plans for Wallenstam to use even more functionality within Antura Projects,
including resource management.
